Plant-derived surfactants — coco-glucoside, decyl glucoside, sodium coco-sulfate — are made from coconut oil, corn sugars, and similar feedstocks instead of petroleum. They clean through the same chemistry as conventional surfactants but break down faster in waterways and irritate skin less.
