Lemon Essential Oil
What you're getting: One 1 fl oz (30ml) amber glass bottle of 100% pure, undiluted citrus limon (lemon) essential oil. No carrier oil, no additives, no synthetic fragrance. Cold pressed from lemon rinds — the same extraction method used for most citrus oils, which preserves the fresh, bright top notes.
Scent profile: Clean, crisp, and unmistakably lemon — not fake-lemon, not furniture polish, not candy. Just lemon. The citrus baseline that most people already know. It's one of the most versatile essential oils for DIY cleaning because it pairs with almost everything: peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, other citrus. It's also one of the few essential oils where the fresh-off-the-rind quality actually translates well into a cleaning product.
How to use it: In an ultrasonic diffuser, 3–5 drops per 100ml. Lemon blends well with essentially everything — it brightens heavier oils and anchors lighter florals. In DIY cleaning recipes, it's one of the standard starting points for kitchen sprays, glass cleaners, and all-purpose formulas. For topical use, dilute in a carrier oil (1–2% dilution). Cold-pressed lemon oil can cause photosensitivity — avoid applying to skin before sun exposure.
The same oil we use in our cleaning line: Citrus limon is the lemon oil in our Citrus & Spice and Lemongrass cleaning lines. We use plant-derived lemon isolates in some products as well, but the lemon oil — this oil — is the foundation. Same source, same quality, sold on its own. Lemon oil is a Mediterranean crop — the groves that produce the best cold-pressed essential oil are a world away from our California facility. We source from there, test every batch for purity in Cameron Park, California, and bottle it here. If you want to build a DIY cleaning recipe that captures some of what makes our products smell the way they do, lemon is a good place to start.
