Free & Clear Liquid Dish Soap
What you're getting: One 16 fl oz bottle of unscented, sulfate-free dish soap with a flip-top lid. Built for kitchens where scent is off the table — sensitivities, preference, or just not wanting your soap to compete with whatever you're cooking.
The Free & Clear difference: No scent. No dyes. No masking fragrance to cover a chemical base smell. The same plant-derived cleansers we use in our scented soaps, just without the essential oils. What you get is clean dishes, nothing extra in the air, and a soap that disappears once you've rinsed.
How it cleans: Plant-derived surfactants — sodium alpha olefin sulfonate (coconut-derived), cocamidopropyl betaine (coconut-derived), cocamide DIPA (coconut-derived), and decyl glucoside (plant-derived) — lift grease and food residue without the stripping effect of sulfate-heavy formulas. Concentrated. A small amount handles more than you'd expect. Start with less than you think you need.
Why we went sulfate-free, even on the unscented one: Sodium lauryl sulfate cuts grease efficiently — most national brands rely on it. The problem isn't only what it does to skin over a few hundred dishes a month; SLS's close relative SLES can also carry traces of 1,4-dioxane, a manufacturing byproduct the EPA classifies as likely carcinogenic in humans. We reformulated around milder coconut- and plant-derived cleansers, and finding a fragrance-free version that didn't smell faintly of base chemistry took more rounds than we'd like to admit. We landed on a formula that's clean, neutral, and doesn't ask you to choose between performance and what you bring into your home.
