Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPE)
Not used — health & safety concerns
Nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) are nonionic surfactants used in industrial and consumer detergents. They break down into nonylphenol (NP), an endocrine disruptor banned in consumer products across the European Union since 2005. NPE remains permitted in U.S. cleaning products. This page covers what NPE is, how it works, the regulatory split between regions, and why Natural Flower Power does not use it.
