Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPE)

Nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) are nonionic surfactants used in industrial and consumer detergents. They break down into nonylphenol (NP), an endocrine disruptor banned in consumer products across the European Union since 2005. NPE remains permitted in U.S. cleaning products.
