Cocamide MEA
Cocamide MEA is a nonionic surfactant made by condensing coconut-derived fatty acids with monoethanolamine. It mainly boosts and stabilizes foam and thickens liquid cleansers, working alongside primary surfactants rather than as the main cleanser. It belongs to the ethanolamide family with cocamide DEA and cocamide DIPA. This page covers what it is, how it works, and why we do not use it.
