What's in the bundle: One 12 fl oz bottle of sulfate-free Lemongrass hand soap with a pump dispenser, plus one 66 fl oz refill pouch with a spout and screw-on cap. The pouch refills your bottle 5.5 times — six and a half bottles' worth of hand soap in one purchase, with 85% less plastic than buying new bottles.
Scent profile — fresh lemongrass essential oil balanced with lemon and a hint of rosemary: Bright lemongrass leads the scent, balanced by crisp lemon and a subtle hint of rosemary. Quietly energizing — clean that signals fresh, not perfumed. It comes through clear, then fades quickly so it doesn't follow you around.
How it cleans: Plant-derived surfactants — sodium alpha olefin sulfonate (coconut-derived), cocamidopropyl betaine (coconut-derived), cocamide DIPA (coconut-derived), and decyl glucoside (plant-derived) — lift dirt and oils from your hands without the stripping effect of sulfate-heavy formulas. Vegetable glycerin and aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) hold moisture against your skin while you wash. Tocopherol (vitamin E) finishes the formula — an antioxidant that keeps the oils stable and adds a small skin benefit on the way out.
Why we went sulfate-free: Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and its relative SLES are what most national hand soaps rely on. They foam aggressively and feel powerful — but on hands that get washed five, ten, twenty times a day, they add up: drying skin, dulling hands, wearing down the moisture barrier. SLES can also carry traces of 1,4-dioxane, a manufacturing byproduct the EPA classifies as likely carcinogenic in humans. We reformulated around milder coconut- and plant-derived cleansers and added aloe and vitamin E to keep skin comfortable through the day. Hand soap is the formula your skin meets most. We think it should leave your hands the way it found them.
How to refill: When the bottle runs empty, unscrew the cap on the pouch spout and pour into your empty 12 fl oz bottle. The pouch refills the bottle 5.5 times — same formula, no diluting or measuring required. Screw the cap back on between uses to keep the formula fresh.
The pouch isn't just for our bottle, either. Use it to refill your built-in soap dispenser, a glass bottle, or any reusable container you'd rather keep filled than throw away.
