Lavender Liquid Dish Soap
What you're getting: One 16 fl oz bottle of sulfate-free dish soap with a flip-top lid. Scented with lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil — softened with a light lift of citrus sinensis (orange) oil to balance the floral. Pure essential oils, no synthetic floral boosters, no fragrance extenders.
Scent profile — clean lavender, gently balanced: Familiar lavender softened with a light lift of orange. Floral, soothing, and never overpowering. The lavender carries the scent and the orange rounds it out. It clears while you wash and doesn't leave your hands smelling like a drawer sachet.
How it cleans: Plant-derived surfactants — sodium alpha olefin sulfonate (coconut-derived), cocamidopropyl betaine (coconut-derived), cocamide DIPA (coconut-derived), and decyl glucoside (plant-derived) — lift grease and food residue without the stripping effect of sulfate-heavy formulas. Concentrated. A small amount handles more than you'd expect. Start with less than you think you need.
Why we went sulfate-free: Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is what most national dish soaps rely on. It cuts grease aggressively, but it had two problems we couldn't get past. On hands that wash dishes a few times a day, every day, SLS adds up — drying skin, dulling hands, wearing nails down. And its close relative SLES can carry traces of 1,4-dioxane, a manufacturing byproduct the EPA classifies as likely carcinogenic in humans. We reformulated around milder coconut- and plant-derived cleansers instead, and getting the grease-cutting performance right without the SLS family took more rounds than we'd like to admit. We think a soap you use every day should leave your hands the way it found them.
